I can’t believe this is real and out in the world! Last spring I was thrilled to be asked by the amazing videographer Vanessa Tignanelli to shoot a CBC Arts film featuring my artwork. I couldn’t be happier with the result (I happy-cried all the way through watching for the first time, especially at the mention of my grandfather and my daughter)!

Vanessa was so fantastic and made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. She is an amazing woman and I feel honoured to have worked with her. Also huge thank you to Black Squirrel Books - a local bookstore in Ottawa - for letting us film off hours and for being so accommodating!

You can find the link to the video and article here.

Community is a great thing. Ottawa Design Club’s first ever zine, titled “Quarant-Zine”, is now available for sale! Featuring work from 22 local artists/designers/photographers, this great little publication is a must-have for anyone interested in Ottawa talent. You can find two of my recent collages and a brief bio/explanation of work on page 30 :-).

The Ottawa Design Club is a monthly event series - organized for designers by designers - that focuses on creating a sense of community among the diverse local creatives in the city.

Since I started making collages professionally, I’ve wanted my work published in a book. I’m thrilled that I can now “check” off this goal! Last year local Ottawa writer Donna Maguire asked if she could use my collage titled “nest” for the cover of her first poetry collection. I’m so happy with how it turned out!

Donna’s poetry is truly a treasure. Her work is boldly personal as she weaves us through her experiences with motherhood, divorce, nature and travelling. You can purchase a copy through The Art House Café and Amazon Canada.

If you know my work, you know that I love florals! So I didn’t hesitate to say “yes!” when the creative team at Alta Vista Flowers (located in Ottawa) asked me if I wanted to team up for their Masterpiece Project. Every month, Alta Vista collaborates with a local visual artist to offer exclusive, artisanal bouquets inspired by the artist’s work. Needless to say, the bouquet they created is beautiful! You can see my collage that inspired the bouquet here.
